Work
Experience
After
completing film school, Vandana interned briefly with the United Nations
Development Fund for Women, assisted a well known documentary filmmaker
and then joined as Associate and Creative Director at TV India, a
recognized television Software Production Company. Since 2001, she
has been freelancing as a director, producer and scriptwriter.
For projects that are commissioned, her contribution is to conceptualise
and execute a film that is well researched and effective. Major project
content has included:
Biotechnology, Women, Depression, Indian Law on Marriage and
Dowry, Biographies, Book reviews, Indian Classical Dance, Tourism,
Indian Railways and the Indian Air Force.
Networks: National Geographic Channel, The History Channel, Doordarshan,
amongst others.
Additionally, she has conceived a unique style for the presentation
of ‘Anniversary Films’. These short films (5-8 minutes)
highlight and weave together the spirit, focus, work, history and
feel of the organization. To name a few:
• A SYMPHONY BEYOND NOTES: 50 years of Lady Shri Ram College for
Women (1956 – 2006)
• WINGS OF GLORY: 75 years of the Indian Air Force (1932-2007)
