        Work Experience

• Independent Director, Producer and Editor for both television and film productions. The 35mm diploma film, "Tat Tvam Asi", edited in the film institute won the NATIONAL AWARD in 1997. Also edited a second Diploma Film, "Hypnothesis", directed by Rajat Kapoor, which won the NATIONAL AWARD for Best Short Film in 1998. Both films were selected for the Indian Panorama section of the 29th International Film Festival Of India, held in January 1998.

• Associate, TV INDIA, a recognized television software production house. Scripted, co-produced and edited numerous programs for clients including Doordarshan, UNIDO, UNIFEM, WFP, Department of Tourism. Corporate clients include TVS Suzuki, AEPC, Indian Airlines, among others.

• Assistant Director, Editor and Production manager on “Adoor: A Journey in Frames”, a 35mm documentary on the famous film-maker- Adoor Gopalakrishnan. The film opened the Adoor Retrospective in Paris, 1999. The film won the Silver Conch at the Mumbai International Short Film Festival, 2000.

• Creative Director for the popular weekly health series “MIND BODY SOUL” on Doordarshan. The series explored different issues related to physical, spiritual and holistic healing. The series began with a three part talk by the internationally renowned spiritual Guru Dr. Deepak Chopra on the Magic & Mystery of the Body, Mind and Soul. The series was on air for 55 weeks.

• Creative Director, In House Productions Ltd, a Bombay based television software company, 2000, producing Movers and Shakers, Nazdeekiyan and Chhappar Phaad Ke among others.

• Media Consultant to the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), 1997

• Hosted a number of programs for Doordarshan and for corporate clients that include FIAT and PIAGGIO. Live presentations of cultural events for independent artists and cultural organizations.

• Background narration for television programs and corporate films.
