  •  LIFE ENCODED: Biotechnology - The Indian Effort: A film on Biotechnology in India for the Ministry of External Affairs. This film gives an overview of the Science, its status and major areas of research, as well as the status of Industry in India. Featuring top scientists of the country, as well industry stalwarts, the film also lists inherent advantages the country offers in this field.
  • INTO THE ABYSS – A Film on Major Depression Produced by PSBT and Prasar Bharati. The film screened at the PSBT-UNESCO Film Festival, The Open Frame in August 2002, as well as on Doordarshan, India’s National Network. Awarded Best Director, Non Fiction, RAPA Awards, Mumbai, 2003.

 

  • MERE PAKSH MEIN: The law on Dowry: A legal literacy film for the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada in association with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

The film has been telecast 40 times on Doordarshan over the past three years.

  • HINDU MARRIAGE LAW: A legal literacy film. Through docu-drama sequences, real life cases and interviews, the film expounds the clauses of the Hindu Marriage Act and law in Hindi, with English subtitles.  Produced by the Indira Gandhi National Open University, (IGNOU).
  • For Public Service Broadcasting Trust, (PSBT), four spots each featuring their trustees - Shyam Benegal, Mrinal Sen, and Adoor Gopalakrishnan, respectively, for telecast on Doordarshan’s National channel.
 
  • BRIDGING THE GAP : A Film on the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s train journey form Katra (Ayodhya) to Faisabad. The PM of the country traveled by train after almost 16 years.

The film is produced by the Ministry of Railways in their effort to archive the visit.

  •  TOUCHED BY A VISIT: A Memorable Journey, a film on His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, The President of India’s visit to Harnaut in Bihar, and his short one hour train ride back on the President’s Special to the capital city, Patna. After 27 years, an Indian President traveled by train on the Presidential saloon.

The Ministry of Railways, Government of India as part of their effort to archive the visit, produced the film.

  • RED ALERT: A Crime Show series on the STAR NEWS network. As part of the team that conceived the show, Vandana designed and directed the Pilot (with Series Director Sourabh Usha Narang) and subsequently the first four episodes of the program.
 
  • LIFELINE MUMBAI: Tracking the Pulse - A 25-minute film for Ministry of Railways on their Suburban Railway System in Mumbai. Local trains carry 6 million passengers everyday. The film tracks passengers as well as those who keep the system running and in place. Produced as part of Indian Railway’s 150 Years celebrations.
  • A PLATFORM TO TAKE OFF FROM A 25-minute film on Modernization of Platforms showcasing Platform #12 at the New Delhi Railway Station.  Produced by the Ministry of Railways as part of their 150 Years Celebrations.
 
  • OFF THE SHELF – 13 episodes –Produced for IGNOU, each 28-minute episode of this program reviews books from various genres, on Art, Culture & Philosophy, children’s books, Classics, travelogues and contemporary authors. The program was telecast on Doordarshan’s National Network.
 
  • Five 40 second public announcement spots on voluntary blood donation and AIDS with members of the Indian cricket team. These spots were made for the National AIDS Control Organization through the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, (DAVP), Government of India
